Hey there!! I'm April. Thanks for stopping by my little part of the internet. I started this page in June of 2011 to document my running, (mostly) healthy cooking, my fitness adventures, and to keep me accountable for my food and fitness choices :)
I'm married to a wonderful guy who goes by the name of Matt.
My journey with fitness began in January 2011. I was uncomfortable with the way my clothes were fitting, I knew I wasn't eating right, and all around just not feelin' it. I researched some gyms....was highly disappointed....and then remembered the gym I used to go to in high school. Score!! I went in that day and signed up. It was love at first bicep curl ;) That is, until I started working with a trainer.
At my first session, I made it through 15 minutes of training and then spent 45 minutes on the floor, curled up in a ball, head spinning and could not even open my eyes for fear my dinner was not going to stay down. It was at that point I know I had to do something.
I haven't looked back since....
